Frequently asked questions.
How do I pay?
Payments are made by E-transfer to Payments@counsellingforhumans.ca. It is kindly requested that payment be made on the same day as your appointment.
How does insurance work?
If you have extended benefits, you may be covered for counselling. When you pay your invoice, a receipt will be sent to you with all the information you need to receive reimbursement. I do not direct bill at this time but stay tuned!
What are your fees, do you offer sliding scale?
My sliding scale is currently full, but I know this economy is tough for everyone! Please let me know if my session fee is a barrier to you and we’ll see what we can do. My regular fee is $155 per 50-minute session, and $195 per 65-minute session.
Where can I park?
There is paid street parking, as well as the Broughton Street parkade by the library. There may also be some free 2h street parking near Quadra and Burdett. Find more options here .
I use a mobility aid, what do I need to know?
There are a couple stairs at the Burdett (commercial) entrance. If you use a mobility aid, please proceed to the residential (South) entrance where I can come meet you or buzz you in. To the right, there is an elevator to the third floor. The building was built in the 80’s so accessibility is okay but not great. The slope to the South entrance is quite steep, please be careful! The doors are not automated but I can be there to open them.
